It appears Tia (whose name means Princess AND Goddess) would like to move in with us tomorrow.  We will endeavour to prove satisfactory.  She was previously living with her 3 grown up kittens, but the ape service was inadequate, especially in the grooming department.
If she likes it better here, she'll be staying.  If she disapproves of us and Leicester and Humbug fail to win her over, Blue Cross have said she can go back and try again.
We are all under the non-opposable thumb.
She is certainly very beautiful, even with the matted bits recently shaved off.

I suspect she will rapidly take over.

That is the idea. As long as she has the skill to do it so the silly boy cats don't mind. I think they would quite like a mum, if she gets it right.

Tia also means "auntie" as you quite probably already know. She is lovely!

Lets hope 'Auntie' is what the boycats think.

She is indeed very beautiful! And I too think that she'll be ruling everyone in two shakes of a lamb's tail.

See previous reply. The issue is not whether she'll take control but whether she can do it without making boycats unhappy.

I do hope it works out - she is indeed very beautiful - and that you have a much better experience than we have had trying to introduce a third cat. At least you have the option of calling it off if she loathes the boys or they are made miserable by her.

Thanks. That is one reason for getting a rescue cat. If it doesn't work out she is only back where she started but with a bit more info about what would make a good home for her. She will always find an adopter, with those looks!
I wish we'd got a girl kitten along with the boys, but we didn't and I really miss having a girl, so this seems well worth trying.

I hope it does all work out well for all of you.

Hmmm... Not sure Leicester and Humbug are singing along to that. Not yet, anyway :)

Oh, what a darling! (As you know, we all live under the Unopposable Fumm...)

Her gorgeousness is way past safe levels. The unopposable thumb pressure here is currently very gentle and easy to dodge. I suspect that is going to change.

She is lovely! What a bright face! I hope the boys find it comforting to have a mother or auntie, as much trouble as they get into.

Thank you. I think the boys need an auntie, but they may not agree. Tia, who has only just got rid of her grown-up kittens and was apparently getting tired of them, may not be keen herself. But I hope...
She is now installed in the spare room, which she says is MUCH TOO SMALL. Leicester is concerned, but calm. Humbug hasn't noticed anything yet ;)

She does look very pretty (although of course Character is more important). I hope she stays.

Good luck with her ladyship, she is gorgeous! Is she a Norwegian? And have you been able to find out if she was in any way responsible for he lack of grooming? (Merino regularly makes it very clear that he prefers dreadlocks to brushes and combs... so our kitty-grooming package now contains a pair of old leather gloves, too.)

Love from Bavaria!

As far as we know, she's just a very furry moggie, but then we don't know much.

I think the grooming stopped because the apes stopped being able to cope with their 4 cats at all. She seems quite happy to be groomed little and often. When she's had enough she makes this clear without actually hurting me, for which I am duly grateful.
