Am enjoying a quiet week before a marking hurricane.  Went shopping for boots and found pair in the sales that have heels.  



I stopped wearing heels when the monkey boys arrived, so 17 years ago.  By the time they were too big to carry and too fast to run after, we were living in Cambridge and I was walking all the time, so still no heels.  Now I mostly cycle or drive,  I can wear them again.  I like it, but I'm oddly aware of them making me taller--I'm sure I never noticed that when I used to wear them more often.

There very fun thing is, that I wore heels for the very first time in years yesterday, and I was all like 'wow, I'm taller, I'd forgotten about that! how GREAT'. So I can relate. And it does make me feel rather aloof as well *L*

I never managed to get the hang of wearing heels; I always feel like I need one of those balance poles, like the Flying Wallendas.

Those shoes are really pretty, though. If I could do heels, I'd be looking for something like that myself. Enjoy!!
