It is apparently the duty of all tortoises to escape, but in previous homes he's taken the view that this means trundling round the boundaries pushing at possible weak spots now and again. Here, he paces up and down, getting up on his back legs every couple of yards to strain towards freedom. I didn't even know he could get up on his back legs till we came here.
