Humbug's new home?

There's 5 acres of this.  It seems Humbug is in there somehwere.  Probably.

I've tried walking round calling and rustling sachets of gushy fudz.  I've tried sitting still reading a paper he might want to sit on.  Nothing.  Not a whisker.  But the owners have seen him again and they're sure it was him and he was well.

I reckon he's forgotten all about us.  Can only hope he decides to come home when the weather changes or something reminds him we exist.  In the meantime, I'll keep dropping round in hopes of spotting him and maybe making contact.  Last time, he seemed really keen to come home with us, but only after 10 minutes of not knowing who we were and being scared of us.

How would he respond to a blanket that smelt of Leicester? Would that remind him a bit? <-- has no clue about cat psychology

How sad for you! I am glad Humbug is alive and well, but still. I hope something does jog his memory soon.

I'm sure he will come home. He's having an adeanture and being a Leopard. I know a number of cats that do this from time to time. But they do come back, really.
Very best wishes.

Oh dear! The fluffball has decided that his is the theme from Born Free. He is a wild thing! (We'll see how that plays when autumn rolls in and it starts getting chilly and rainy....) I'm sorry he's off adventuring.

Oh, that must be very upsetting. Here's hoping he's just off on a summer adventure and will return in his own good time.

Bloody animals.

Yes, this. Panda belongs to the garden not us in summertime.

Heh. I have no clue about cat psychology either. Who does?

I tried the blanket thing several times. Even the time I found him he showed no interest in the blanket.

But I found him! See imminent post.

A vet neighbour told me that Maine Coons are especially fond of doing this Born Free Wild Thing thing.

I hope you can meet Humbug properly one day and assess him for Maine Coon qualities. I reckon he either has some Maine Coon ancestry or it's a case of parallel evolution.

(He is indoors now being all sweet and cuddly and stay-at-home. Why do I feel this won't last?)
