Zil is home. A bit wobbly, but with her usual appetite. She even tried to eat dry food, which isn't supposed to happen for a few days yet, but apparently the sardine I offered as a post-operative snack was insufficient. She is sulking, though, and won't come near me. Hope that wears off soon.
She coped well with the op, but the the vet is puzzled because all her left teeth were a decayed mess, but her right teeth are fine. He seems to think there may be some underlying problem making it more serious than simple tooth decay, but he admits he can't figure out what. So she has 10 days of antibiotics. (They taste too bitter to add to food and have to be dropped into the back of her throat. I can hardly wait.) And then a check up.
Theories, anyone?
All I can come up with is that she's never been a symmetrical cat. (See
her userpics.)
