life with kittens and monkeys
Mar. 4th, 2010 02:59 pmThe food bowls were empty and I didn't jump up to fill them because Humbug was asleep in my lap. But Leicester was hungry, so he came up to my lap and tried to get milk out of my buttons. Then he tried looking under Humbug's fluff--well, there could be anything at all under there. Then he decided he could get milk out of Humbug's ear if he turned it inside out and chomped on it hard enough.
This woke Humbug up so I went to fill the food bowls. When I sat down again, Humbug came to pick up his nap where he left off while Leicester scoffed kitten food.
Teen monkeys are growing up too. Spider got his first brace yesterday. It's only a molar that needs straightening, so the brace is almost invisible at the front of his mouth, but he's finding it hard to eat or speak. We're all hoping it'll start to feel more normal in a few days.
There is now a very small, soft, fluffy, slow-motion reenactment of a fight to the death between two mighty tom cats, and it's going on in my lap.
I have photos. Lots of photos. But since I washed my phone, which is also my camera, the process for getting them onto the computer and posted to you involves bluetooth and
musique_monkey's work laptop, so there may be some delay...
Now Humbug is ready for another nap on my lap, but Leicester wants to play. Again. No he doesn't: he wants to wash Humbug's bottom for him. Leicester, the world is in your debt.
