Happy Birthday Squirrelmonkey!
Jun. 9th, 2010 06:07 pmSquirrelmonkey was 12 on Saturday. He got lots of money to buy himself a whizzy amp,* which was delivered yesterday.
On Saturday itself, Granny and Grandpa Monkey were here and we all went by punt up to the rope swing for a picnic with birthday carrot cake. Turned out 3 of Squirrel's school friends were there already with some other kids, so they spent a happy time pushing each other in.
He's having a proper party at the house with chocolate cake and lots of noise, but first he has to sort out inviting everyone, which seems to be taking a while...
Meanwhile, here are ( some pics of the punt outing: )
And, of course, this year's annoying song,
Frankly, compared to last year's or the one before that, this is hardly annoying at all.
I shouldn't have said that, because now he's found this one:
