seasonal inventory
Dec. 20th, 2010 06:57 pmMostly for my own planning purposes.
What have I missed?
- Defeat assorted monkey germs--accomplished (provisional)
- Buy gifts--accomplished apart from guitar strings, which can be delgated
- Buy food--ongoing but on target
- Marking--slightly behind, but doable by deadline (Friday)
- Stop water coming through kitchen ceiling--accomplished. Thank you Best Plumber in Cambridge, no thanks at all to the mysterious force that pulled the bath outflow pipe 2 inches southwards. I wasn't expecting this one on the list and could really have done without it. Will try to give it a miss next year.
- Mend and replace bath panel--not my problem :-)
- Decorate Christmas tree--accomplished, but also ongoing due to Leicester
- Monkey outing to meet my mother in London for British Museum exhibition--scheduled for tomorrow, but who knows? Will any/all of us be able to travel to London and back? Watch this space. If we can't go tomorrow, we can postpone, but will that actually help?
- Wrap presents--not yet.
- Bake mince pies--unlikely, but I can live with that.
- Housework--kitchen to do, guest beds to do, bathrooms done but to do again (see 5 above).
- Monkey homework duty--ongoing, on target
- Send cards--abandoned years ago
- Send seasonal email--unlikely this year, but will anyone notice?
- Organise student visit to King's College--ongoing, on target
- Oversee online working groups for collaborative wiki assignment--I'd know if I was on target if I knew what I was supposed to be doing. I suspect I'm slightly behind, but that my students are slightly ahead (due in part to my earlier efforts) so probably even.
