broken finger update

Spider came home from school smiling. He's figured out a way to play guitar, broken finger, bandages, strapping and all.

Apparently, there are two stories on the grapevine:
1) He was hit by a car doing 80mph
2) He's faking the whole thing with bandages, ketchup, and painted-on scabs.
(Well, he has been known to wear his old splint to school so he can get out of dance lessons...)

I'm glad he's feeling more cheerful. Isn't it squirrel's job to squash the rumours with the slightly more boring truth?

Glad he's feeling better. I am impressed with his ingenuity re: playing with a broken finger!

Actually, I think squirrel's job is to provide ever more gruesome descriptions of spider and bike spinning through the air, blood pouring down the bridge, etc. He was the only monkey cycling fast enough to witness the crash as it happened.

I dunno how he does it. The ring finger is out of action because the little finger is strapped to it, so that only leaves two, plus he still has quite limited movement in his wrist--and he still sounds better than the 10-fingered students next door! I'm going to see if I can video him tonight.
