Seen in garden this morning: one large cock pheasant flapping and scurrying ineffectually with one large, fluffy, black and white ?cat? stalking and pouncing equally ineffectually at it.  They disappeared (slowly) into the farmland. Several hours later, Beest of Girtin has come home peckish and doesn't appear to have anything to trade me for gushies.

Leicester is doing splendidly!  He now limps and scurries across the slippery kitchen floor that used to defeat him.  He goes into the rest of the house, and even Outdoors on a lead (because that's the only way I can stop him jumping up on stuff).  He's sprinted up a full flight of stairs once, but seems to have got away with it.  He's sniffed the sniffs, including friendly sniffing with Humbug, and even peed in the garden to prove to the farm cats that he's not dead.  I'm about to take him out for walkies now.  He hates the lead, but has decided it's better than being stuck in the cage ALL the time, especially if he can haz Outdoors.
