Basking

Leicester and Speedy recharge their batteries.

Meanwhile, Humbug is away hunting.  The Beast of Girton has been fierce lately.  One day, he brought home TWO baby bunnies, which he devoured on the lawn.  He tends not to bring his prey indoors, unlike Leicester, so we rarely get to see what he catches, but his tum is so full that he often chooses to ignore offers of gushiefudz in favour of staying out late.  Tidying in the spare room Lair of Teh Beest, I found a single pheasant feather left neatly on the bed.

Which would (at least in our house) raise the question "where the hell is the rest of the pheasant?" and guilty looks on the part of both boy cats most likely....

Not in our house. Leicester leaves them where we can't miss them, i.e. smeared all over our bedroom.

Humbug brings in only what he can carry in his fluff.

Yes, my thoughts entirely.

These bunnies need to be kept down. Ish eats his outdoors; Horus insists on bringing them in and then complains when the humans take them away.

Last year I felt sorry for the poor bunnies. Then we planted a new hedge and they ate it. Go Teh Beest of Girtin!!11!
