Leicester is home! The op went well although he has a screw loose. No, really, there was no way the vet could attach all the screws through the plate into suitable bits of bone so she had to leave one out. She thinks it will heal ok anyway but it makes the 'crate rest' more important than ever. Later he will be allowed out to sit on laps, but not yet...
He can already stand and squat, which he couldn't do at all before, but he's still in a lot of pain. Probably not more than ever but more than he'd got used to at the start of this week. We have strong painkillers for him, but not the ultrastrong hallucination-giving ones.
He's eating quite well. Thank you to
la_marquise_de_ for introducing him to gourmet perle gushy fudz.
Big thank yous also to
tamaranthand
ozymandias_cat for the loan of their top-loading carrier.
Edited to add a pic.
He's busy catching up on sleep.
