Those of you who have cats, and whose cats produce furballs, does the cat's tongue dangle out of its mouth like a very long, very floppy thing during the furball conjuring process?

Zil was modest and always turned her back (and Fruitcake preferred to keep out of my sight at all times), but this morning, Leicester did the gagging, heaving thing while facing right towards the back door. Spider and I had no idea his tongue was so long.

Yep. Quite normal. Moon likes an audience for her furballs, too.

Moon should have an audience for everything--a bit like French royalty.

Indeed it does. And sometimes they forget to put it away afterwards and wander around with half their tongue sticking out for the next 20 minutes, which is very endearing.

Now Zil did that for a couple of weeks after she had half her teeth out, but then she learned to tuck it behind the remaining ones.

Yep, Cleo did that, too.

I can see why Zil used to turn her back. It looks really stupid--a bit like the lion pose in yoga. Hmmm.... maybe lions have furballs...
