My lurgy was pretty much a false alarm. Two days later I'm back to normal. Phew! (For values of normal that include ongoing ear problems.)
Poor Spidermonkey, on the other hand, is still laid very low indeed. He seems a little better today--staggered as far as the sofa without needing painkillers, and has managed to eat half a rice cake. By recent standards, this counts as doing well.
For the rest of the weekend, I shall be mostly washing sheets.
Apologies to anyone who was planning to come to the kittens' party this afternoon. The weather is perfect, but it was definitely the right decision to cancel it. We are still the Monkey House of Plague.
In happier news, the student next door with the drum kit was seen cramming all his stuff, including the drums into the back and roof box of mum and dad's Citroen estate yesterday. It was a tight squeeze, but I think they got it all in by folding the student into the last bit of back seat like origami. And then they drove away :) Celebrations as soon as we're all well enough.

Date: 2010-06-27 01:30 pm (UTC)As for the neighbours, I expect ARU have quiet geeky types, but I don't think they tend to rent expensive houses in groups of nine from predatory private landlords. The current group are pretty civilised (mostly Music, Art or Media types, which we get a lot.) With the drummer gone, it should be a pleasure to have the rest of them there until the end of July and an empty house through August. After that, we'll see what we get.
