We're off to Devon tomorrow for Sidmouth Folk Festival and in-law visiting. (How much of each will depend on how much better Spdier is feeling by the time we get there--he's doing well now, but still tires quickly.)

We've had a quiet week with [livejournal.com profile] musique_monkey between jobs, Spider mostly lying on the sofa, and all of us watching far too much TV. The teen monkeys are nicely hooked on Babylon 5. Grown up monkeys too. I'm finding I like it even better now. Though there is this terrible feeling of impending doom. Should I warn them now about season 5?

The Monkey House and Monkey Cats will be in the able hands of [livejournal.com profile] tamaranth until Aug 6th. I'll be pretty much out of touch until then.

Have fun without us.

Oh, you lucky people, going to Sidmouth! I'd love to go to that festival one day. We might have talked about this at some point previously, but I'd forgotten that you liked traditional music. Have a great time.

If you do go...

***WARNING: blatant attempt on my part to live vicariously through you***

...you'll have a chance to see several of my favorite performers. Brian Peters is always rewarding to hear sing, and Sara Grey (who's turning 70, goodness!) is a lovely performer too, and plays the banjo so delicately that it will make you forget all the jokes about banjo-players you've ever heard.

I hope Spider is feeling 100% very soon.

Not till halfway through season 4. Deal with the Shadow menace, then offer them the choice to get off the bus now. Quick, before it crashes.
