hunting trophy
Nov. 2nd, 2010 10:21 amThis morning one of the cats brought in a piece of trampoline. To be exact, it's about 10 inches of blue foam tubular padding. The nearest trampolines are several gardens away on the other side of the back alley, so it's been carried in over several high walls and through a cat flap.
Normally I put this kind of thing down to Humbug since Leicester can catch actual live prey. But Leicester is in and Humbug is out. Then again, perhaps Hum is busy stalking trampolines, hoping to surprise another careless piece of padding...
Apart from this drive-by, I'm still not posting or replying much. Half term was good, but has left me with a big backlog of work.

Date: 2010-11-02 10:33 am (UTC)objets trouvéscat toys at the foot of a door that I know I opened yesterday, so I know it's been done overnight. A plastic bottle-top, a twist of paper, a sheet of paper, a bicycle clip. All gathered from who-knows-where, and lovingly assembled.Sometimes they just bewilder me.

Date: 2010-11-02 07:53 pm (UTC)Workload will subside once I complete presentation and handout on How To Read Pomes. But will return with a vengeance on Friday when the first marking avalanche descends. Question is, can I finish explaining poetry before Friday?
