Humbug has asked me to thank all who wished him well. He is taking his pills like a good kitty (in fact, more like a cuddly toy, but you didn't hear that from me) and feeling a lot better today. He's even eaten his cruchy fudz and ventured Outdoors briefly, though his exit through the penguin chute* was slow and creaky. Tomorrow he goes back to the vet to see if he can stop the cat drugs yet.
*For those who haven't seen it, Humbug's penguin chute is a particular square in the trellis over our sloping-topped garden wall. Leicester climbs over the top like a proper cat and jumps down, but Hummie (who can climb to the top and sit there) prefers to climb down again and squeeze his 8" x 8" fluff through a 4" x 4" hole, leaving his back paws in their white socks to exit last--like a penguin diving off an ice floe. I have a video that I'll post on
themonkeycats when I have time, and when someone more techsavvy has transferred it to the pc for me.
