Humbug

Humbug has asked me to thank all who wished him well. He is taking his pills like a good kitty (in fact, more like a cuddly toy, but you didn't hear that from me) and feeling a lot better today. He's even eaten his cruchy fudz and ventured Outdoors briefly, though his exit through the penguin chute* was slow and creaky. Tomorrow he goes back to the vet to see if he can stop the cat drugs yet.

*For those who haven't seen it, Humbug's penguin chute is a particular square in the trellis over our sloping-topped garden wall. Leicester climbs over the top like a proper cat and jumps down, but Hummie (who can climb to the top and sit there) prefers to climb down again and squeeze his 8" x 8" fluff through a 4" x 4" hole, leaving his back paws in their white socks to exit last--like a penguin diving off an ice floe. I have a video that I'll post on [livejournal.com profile] themonkeycats when I have time, and when someone more techsavvy has transferred it to the pc for me.

Miss Diva would like to be brushed several times a day. Which I feel is excessive for a short haired cat!

Selene would like a minion to groom her. Wanted: fixed boy cat, large enough to take on Tetley next door, preferably dumb as a post.

Leicester is short haired and can't get enough grooming. Another reason I struggle to keep Hummie combed is that Leicester will muscle in and demand I brush him first.
I guess brushing is just nicer if you don't have tangles to snag. Also L is the attention seeker out of my two.
